Hey, hows it going? I'm pretty new to this, but what was your inspiration for Lilith's Tears? Hope you are well :)

Hey! Welcome to tumblr!

My inspiration for the story was just a random idea that came to me. I thought of overall “plot arc” and the characters altogether, and then I started to build in other influences. One of my biggest inspirations was myth and legend, especially the mythology of Lilith herself - thats all really interesting because its connected with the Garden of Eden, and Lilith is considered by many to be the first vampire. I was influenced a lot by literature like Doctor Faustus, and other Renaissance texts as well - but the biggest inspiration was just how I was feeling at the time, a lot of the themes address things that were happening in my life at the time, how I was feeling, my hopes, fears etc :)

I have always written stories for as long as I can remember, even from being really, really young. It was just like..my biggest hobby. I think my inspiration comes from all around really, just everyday life. I have random ideas and then I sort of..merge them with what I am feeling at the time, or hopes, fears etc. Stories are really good for that - I feel like they can “process” everyday life and put it into a different setting, examine it better of even cope with it better - so thats my inspiration :)

Writing was just something I would always do - I spent a lot of time when I was really young just writing endless stories that were sooo long - I would never actually finish them, I would just keep adding bits in and adding bits in..I just love it. Its just been a lifelong thing really. I started doing competitions and such, which got me more into the publishing side, too - but writing itself I have been doing for as long as I can remember.

Congrats on your book release, and being in the Spotlight! :D
